Incêndios resolvidos e pressão a baixar no Setúbal e Lisboa

Fires resolved and pressure easing in Setúbal and Lisbon

Today activity has been centred mainly in the districts of Setúbal, Porto and Lisbon, where several fresh ignitions have broken out through the morning before being quickly brought under control. In the interior, smaller spots remain active, yet most are now under control or have been declared resolved. Leiria is keeping a comparable pace, while Santarém shows only a few hotspots still in a watching brief. The MTG sensor has picked up an unmatched thermal anomaly, likely tied to industrial sources rather than a wildfire.

Technical discussion

IPMA flags a modest rise in fire risk tomorrow across the Portalegre district, with several municipalities shifting to higher levels. The operational regime stays light, with most actions focused on ground crews. MTG asymmetry is low, showing only an unmatched thermal anomaly that does not affect the active fronts. National RIR readings are steady, with a slight upward trend in parts of the interior.

Outlook

The light regime is expected to hold for the rest of the day, with pressure easing. Tomorrow a modest increase in risk is forecast for Portalegre, especially during the late‑afternoon window (14h–19h).
