Porto lidera com nova atividade e anomalias térmicas não correspondidas

Porto concentrou a maior parte dos focos, com vários concelhos – Amarante, Penafiel e Vila Nova de Gaia – a registarem o maior número de incêndios. Em comparação com o dia anterior, a atividade foi modestamente mais intensa, com mais novos focos e um aumento notável nas operações de combate. Alguns reacendimentos foram detetados, um em Oliveira de Azeméis (Aveiro) e outro em Paredes (Porto), ambos poucos horas após a extinção inicial.

O sensor MTG registou um volume considerável de anomalias térmicas que não corresponderam a incêndios ativos, o que costuma indicar queima agrícola ou fontes industriais nesta época do ano. Não houve deteções satélite‑confirmadas nem novas cicatrizes de queima. A vigilância continuará focada nas áreas agrícolas do interior, onde as anomalias foram mais frequentes.

Porto leads with fresh activity and unmatched thermal anomalies

Porto concentrated the bulk of the fires, with several municipalities – Amarante, Penafiel and Vila Nova de Gaia – reporting the highest count. Compared with the previous day, activity was modestly higher, with more new ignitions and a noticeable rise in operational effort. Some reignitions were detected, one in Oliveira de Azeméis (Aveiro) and another in Paredes (Porto), both occurring only a few hours after the initial extinguishment.

The MTG sensor reported a sizable set of thermal anomalies that were not matched to active incidents, a pattern that typically reflects agricultural burns or industrial sources at this time of year. No satellite‑confirmed detections or new burn scars appeared. Today's focus will be on monitoring the agricultural zones where the unmatched anomalies were most prevalent.
