Monchique lidera concentração de fogos no distrito de Faro

Os focos de incêndio concentraram‑se sobretudo no distrito de Setúbal e no distrito de Lisboa, que registaram o maior número de ocorrências, seguidos de perto pelo distrito de Faro. No distrito de Faro, Monchique destacou‑se, apresentando mais incêndios que os demais concelhos. Houve reacendimento em Santarém. Em comparação com o dia anterior, a atividade geral foi mais baixa, com menos novos focos e menos escaladas.

As deteções do satélite MTI‑1 foram todas não correspondidas, indicando que as anomalias térmicas identificadas não estavam associadas a incêndios ativos, o que costuma refletir queimadas agrícolas ou fontes industriais nesta época. Não foram registadas novas cicatrizes de queima por Sentinel‑2. A vigilância de hoje continuará centrada nas áreas de Setúbal e Lisboa, onde a concentração de fogos permanece elevada.

Monchique leads fire concentration in Faro district

Fire activity was centred in the districts of Setúbal and Lisbon, which recorded the highest number of incidents, closely followed by Faro. Within Faro, Monchique stood out with more fires than other municipalities. A reignition was recorded in Santarém. Compared with the previous day, overall activity was lower, with fewer new ignitions and fewer escalations.

The MTI‑1 satellite detections were all unmatched, meaning the thermal anomalies fell outside the set of active incidents, a pattern that often reflects agricultural burns or industrial sources at this time of year. No new burn scars were identified by Sentinel‑2. Monitoring today will stay focused on Setúbal and Lisbon, where fire concentration remains elevated.
